Fedora's Update Software YUM
FC uses yum to manage softwares and softwares update. but the speed of update is very very low because the servers are abroad. It takes a long time to check what should be updated, it takes a long time to check the dependance, and it takes a loooooooooooooong time to download updates. Many of them can not be downloaded. It says I have more than 140 updates. But most of the updates just have some small fixes because their version number changed a little. I have to download the whole softwares for update. Some updates are outdate, as firefox is still 1.5.0.8 but the 2.0 was released a long time ago.
Adobe didn't released the flash player working in X86_64 yet, also it seems that it does not work well in linux i386. The way you can play flashes is that you remove the X86_64 firefox edition, then install the i386 edition. I doubt that the reason Adobe released some source to Mozilla (Adobe and Mozilla Foundation to Open Source Flash Player Scripting Engine ) is that Adobe can not work the proper flash player for linux X86_64 out. Is it true? haha.
